Gail Johnsen

Gail understands that too many of us live distracted, frenzied lives with little time or energy to connect with God. Rushed and preoccupied we just skim over our lives instead of actually living them. She also understands that in the midst of our exhausted lives, we desire change that goes beyond tweaking our behavior to a fundamental change rooted in a life deeply centered in God. It is from her own place of depletion and the journey to back she speaks.

Gail is a graduate of Northwest University, an ordained Assemblies of God minister (and pastor’s wife), pastor, mother of four (and now grandmother!), writer, mentor, life coach and speaker.  Holding a Master’s Degree in Spiritual Formation and Leadership from Spring Arbor University, her desire is to encourage women on their spiritual journey to discover a way of living that keeps them open to the authentic, over-flowing life Jesus offers and invites them into…that they might live and minister from a place of their own Encounter and offer those they serve something more than the dregs of their exhausted, over-extended lives.

For the past six years Gail has developed and led spiritual formation 9-month journey groups for women both within her local church, statewide (coordinating with the Network) and soon nationally. These internet-based groups offer a way of caring for our souls, in the context of the spiritual disciplines and authentic community. If you would like to participate or for more information, contact Gail.

Gail and her husband Darrel have served in full-time pastoral ministry for over 30 years. They currently serve as pastors at Faith Assembly in Pasco, WA where Gail is the pastor of Spiritual Formation and Women and is involved in preaching, teaching, mentoring and leadership development.

Gail enjoys gardening, tennis, reading, travel, and riding on the back of a motorcycle (because you get to wear leathers!).
